Profile Information

Where do you work?
Pasco County Library System
How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging since May 2007.
How many blogs do you have?
I have two blogs - "Senior Friendly Libraries" - my personal blog and my work blog: pclsseniors.blogspot.com
About Me:
My name is Isabelle Fetherston and I am very interested in older adult services and outreach to the underserved. I am also interested in Library 2.0 features, such as social tagging, library blogs, and social networking. I think that in the future, library 2.0 features could be incorporated into older adult services, which could be quite beneficial to older adults who have mobility issues. Being able to access library information and participate in online discussions through the library website could decrease the isolation of these older adults.

Senior Friendly Libraries Blog

I have just started a blog called Senior-Friendly Libraries. The purpose of this blog is to provide resources for librarians including: research on aging as it influences library services, library research on
"older adults", incorporating Library 2.0 features for "older
adults", and examples of successful "older adult" library
services and programs.
