- I am a reference librarian with strong interest in readers' advisory and use of emerging technology to improve library services. My blog mixes reviews of books and media with comments on libraries. I grew up in Texas but now live in Illinois. My current big project is a readers' advisory book on biography, which should be out in 2009.

I was on vacation 5/24-6/8 and ignoring most stuff...
It's working out fairly well, although it's semi-retirement (VERY part-time contract work). I'm now in the odd position of realizing that I've been a writer & editor longer than I've been a systems analyst/designer/programmer, even though the latter certainly earned the bulk of my living...
